How do I play the game?
Maybe double-clicking works.
Starting the game
First, you download the game off of Google Playstore, Apple Store, or Steam Page. Then you wait until the download finishes on your device/emulator.
For phones/tablets, make sure you download the Global version and not the one in Chinese/Japanese text.
Afterwards, you launch the game by tapping (phone, tablet) or double clicking (laptop, PC). Voila! That's how you start the game.

Bruh.
I'm joking.
When you enter the game, you'll be guided by the tutorial. Follow those steps and you'll know how the game works.
For Steam, you're required to pick between Android and iOS. Pick carefully, for you can't change it later. If you decided to change OS mid way, sorry to say that you need to have a mobile device of that OS to transfer account (ie for iOS to Android, you need to have an iOS at hand to transfer to Android phone and vice versa).

Beginner's Checklist
To have a smoother time starting out, we'd tell newbies to do the following:
AoE DPS souls will depend on which shiki you have. Shadow or Seductress are the usual options. Just aim for ATK/ATK/CRIT (slot 2/4/6) with 100% crit for now.
Zashiki should be on Azure Basan (ask mentor for better ones if needed) and bunny should be on broken (no set effect)/Fortune Cat if you can. If you run with others, you can afford to leave Zash with low speed, while bunny should aim for 164 SPD.
- Focus on one unit to G6 (6 comma thingies underneath the shikigami). This unit should be an AoE DPS.
- Keep Zashiki (Chapter 2) and Yamausagi. They will be your support shiki for most PvE contents.
- Find a guild and mentor. You can use #guilds and #friends-and-mentors respectively in the Onmyoji Official Discord.
- Bond up with strong people from guild and mentor.

Two other rather useful R units you should keep are Ushi no Toki and Tesso. The former increases damage dealt to one unit (usually the boss) and the latter increases your coins gained from battles.
Reroll?
Rerolling is not compulsory in this game, but you can if you want to. If you do want to reroll, the units you should aim for are:
They're in the guarantee SSR pool in your first 10 pull. If you decided to skip out the 10 pull and do it one by one, it's not a guarantee anymore.
Alternatively, if you don't want to reroll, you can get to Chapter 2/Chapter 9 of the story to get Kuro Mujou, who is easier to build than the previous two. You may also use Ubume from the login reward, but she's not that useful towards the later parts of the game once you have more alternatives to consider.
One of these units will be your main DPS at the start of the game, so focus on getting them to G6 as soon as possible.
What if I want to raise xyz DPS SHIKI (not listed in here)?
In that case, just do whatever you want. If you got lucky and scored an SSR/SP AoE shiki that's not in the guarantee pool, then it should be fine. If they're not AoE shiki, you'll just have a harder time starting out, that's all.
