A collection of random stuff that can't be fit anywhere else, so stray decided to put it here
❏ A common but not so common piece of information is the fact that this game runs in decimals. However, the game rounds it up/down as whole numbers, so it appears that it is whole. This is the reason why players aim for 101% crit. The 100% crit you see can be 99.5%. You’ll start to question it the moment you missed crit at “100%”.
Thankfully, NetEase kind of heard us and gave us Soul Configuration (Shikigami > Souls > the middle tab under your stats). Not only you can make the best set without finding every soul, it also shows up to two decimal points. This way, you'll definitely know if your 100% crit is truly 100% crit,
Also, you can also see your souls up to two decimal points now!! Tick the "Soul detailed stats" in Settings.

❏ On the off chance that you and another player have the same speed (commonly happen in Royal Battle), the team with the highest average speed will go first (although, the description for Royal Battle said the order will be "random").
❏ Another misconception by newer players is the concept of eff hit. They believe that, when we have 100% eff hit, it means we have 100% chance of landing cc. This is false. First of all, according to the formula (refer formula link above), the chance of resisting is always higher than landing cc. Secondly, the 100% meant it’s double the base chance it has. Take Temptress as an example. Temptress has 25% base chance of confusing opponents. At 100% eff hit, you will have 50% chance of confusing them.
❏ If you click on the Soul Stats link, you'll notice that the stat difference between G4 and G5 souls aren't that much. Hence, veterans would advice you to use either G4 or G6 souls. You can use G5 souls if it has good substats, but they're more expensive to level than G4 and have much lower stats than G6.
❏ Your onmyoji's totem gets additional stats whenever it levels up. While this is not super important, it’s noteworthy that, for every 5 levels, the onmyoji’s speed increases by 4 (up to 128 total SPD) and they gain a skill up point (randomly allocated). Use this information to tweak the onmyoji’s turn order in your team (such as Kagura for her Storm skill).
❏ There’s two ways of feeding souls: one, by using other souls/Gluttony Ghoul, and two, by Cyan Imps. The main difference between these two is the cost. It’s cheaper to feed a soul with Cyan Imps than with souls/ Gluttony Ghoul.
Type |
Number required |
Cost to get a G6 soul to level 15 |
Souls/Gluttony Ghoul |
Depending on grades |
472,500 |
G4 Cyan Imps |
35 |
378,000 |
G5 Cyan Imps |
9 |
330,750 |
G6 Cyan Imps |
3 |
283,500 |
Another difference is efficiency. With Gluttony Ghoul, the amount of soul EXP used can be toggled with the pointer and you won’t have EXP overflow (when leveled to X level). This cannot be said the same with Cyan Imps, whose EXP is set per imps. Hence, it’s more efficient to level through the ghoul, but it’s cheaper to use imps.
